WHAT IS RFID ?

Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a generic term that is used to describe a system that transmits the identity (in the form of a unique serial number) of an object or person wirelessly, using radio waves. It's grouped under the broad category of automatic identification technologies.

You should care because it’s new technology that Wal-Mart and Department of Defense are mandating.  Also, some feel it’s intrusive and can infringe on our privacy.  It’s a legitimate debate.  You say you don’t use RFID, so it doesn’t matter… hmm.  Here are some applications you may not have thought about:
