You should care because it’s new technology that Wal-Mart and Department of Defense are mandating. Also, some feel it’s intrusive and can infringe on our privacy. It’s a legitimate debate. You say you don’t use RFID, so it doesn’t matter… hmm. Here are some applications you may not have thought about:
» Pet Identification
» EZ pass for toll roads
» Airport Luggage
» Passports
» Currency (Euro’s) and coming to a dollar bill near you
» Access Cards for security
» Organized Races (The plastic piece you tie to your running shoes)
» Drivers License (Real ID Act)

Do I have your attention? Are you getting a tin foil hat ready for you and your family?
An educated society is an enlightened (read less fearful) public. So read about it. Team BRS has some unique RFID applications, pod casts and videos that we have developed on an easy to navigate social network. The site is www.rfidlearn.ning.com. It’s a fun networking site where you can learn about our “Lunch and Learn” programs, the Chamber Events we plan to participate in as well as any other questions you might have about RFID. Remember, it’s always better to learn. It keeps you from making too many tin foil hats. Be enlightened. And remember, when you think RFID, think BRS!
